About Forefront
Professional strength & conditioning coaching in a welcoming environment.
Forefront Strength & Conditioning started 10 years ago with a simple aim: to make the standard of coaching typically associated with elite sport available to more people — not only athletes training within institutes and performance programmes.
From the beginning, the goal has been to combine structured strength and conditioning, good coaching and long-term progression with an environment that feels welcoming and accessible.
Today, Forefront works with adults and developing athletes across a range of goals and experience levels, but the principle remains the same: provide people with a clear training process, quality coaching and the support they need to progress.

Built around good coaching
Good coaching should not be reserved for elite sport. Forefront was created to give more people access to structured training, knowledgeable coaching and an environment where progress matters.

PLAN
Training is planned and progressive rather than a collection of random workouts.
COACHING
We teach, adapt and progress training according to the individual, their experience and what they need.
LONG-TERM PROGRESS
The aim is to build strength, physical capacity and confidence that continues to develop over time.
Coaching backed by experience
Callum Henley
OWner, Strength & Conditioning Coach
UKSCA Accredited • BWL Level 2 • BSc Sport & Exercise Science • 15+ Years Coaching
Callum leads the coaching at Forefront and has more than 15 years of experience working across strength and conditioning, physical preparation and athlete development.
Alongside his work at Forefront, his coaching experience includes ongoing physical performance work with pathway and competitive swimmers, working with professional boxers, work as part of the Derbyshire Institute of Sport, and camp and competition support with Swim England.
That experience has helped shape Forefront’s approach: applying sound strength and conditioning principles appropriately to the person in front of us, whether they are a competitive athlete or an adult who simply wants to train well and become stronger.

Ben holds a BSc in Sport & Exercise Science and brings international experience from a six-month S&C internship in Australia. He is a UKSCA Associate S&C Coach working toward full accreditation. At Forefront, Ben focuses on the Legacy Strength and Reboot programmes. Since joining, he has been a great asset to the team and member experience.

A place to train properly
Forefront is a private strength and conditioning facility rather than a walk-in commercial gym.
Membership numbers are deliberately controlled, access is managed through a key-fob system and the facility is equipped for strength training, Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, conditioning and physical preparation.
The aim is simple: provide people with the space, equipment, structure and coaching environment to train well.
